I recently visited the shopping centre in Brent Cross and had a beauty haul and bought lots of new beauty products! I was shopping in the MAC section in Fenwick with my friends and we were trying out different lip liners and lipsticks. One of my friends (who is also a blogger, so check her blog out here) tried on the ‘MAC Velvetease Lip Pencil‘ in the shade ‘Reddy To Go’. Oh my god, as soon as i saw it on her I thought it looked amazing and I had to try it on!

Mac Velvetease Lip Pencil Anything Goes

The lip pencil is the consistency of a lipstick and because it is narrow like a lip liner it is so easy to outline your lips with it first then fill them in. So it is much easier to use and apply than your typical lipstick and it also twists up like a lipstick! The texture of the product on your lips is amazing as it feels so soft – like velvet – and I found the product very moisturising. The product is also fairly long lasting and gives a matte look, I wore it for hours and the product on the outer of my lips was untouched whereas it had slightly worn away on the inner of my lips so i just re-applied the product. The shade is such a bold red that really stands out and seeing as I do not own many red shades I had to buy it.

These lip pencils are £17.50, which is a bit more money than the standard MAC lipsticks but I personally thought it was worth it. Recently I have been using the Satin lipstick in the shade ‘Brave’ and it has been drying out my lips so it was really nice to find a MAC lipstick that felt so good on my lips. I cannot wait to buy more of these lip pencils!!
